The Challenge:One Identity, Three Audiences
Sports Summit had to satisfy corporate brand standards, professional sports clients, and San Diego as the host city, all at once. The logo had to hold up on a phone screen and on a twenty-foot stage. Event planning, content, and executive stakeholders were working in silos, and outside vendors were producing pieces on their own timelines. The date was fixed. Nothing could slip.
Ticketmaster was mid-rebrand at the time. The global rollout was being led by another team with an outside agency, and North America, the largest and most developed market, needed an event identity before those guidelines were finished. That meant deriving usable color values and applying an unfinished brand system without breaking whatever it eventually became.
Corporate brand standards that left little room for an event identity
Sports clients used to consumer-grade production quality
Deliverables split across multiple external vendors
Teams working in silos with no shared source of truth
Large-format printing with no margin for a color miss
The Approach:Build the System, Then Hold the Line
I was the only designer on the team when this identity was built. I derived the color values for the new branding, designed the logo and environmental system, and built the deck template with a colleague. Others in B2B marketing produced supporting materials, and a designer from another team was on site during the event. I ran production QA on the large-format pieces, catching resolution issues on printed decals before they went out.
Delivered across the engagement:
Event logo and badge design
Stage design and environmental branding across all conference events
Slide templates and speaker decks
Digital assets for internal comms, email, and print
Event apparel and swag
Cross-functional project management and vendor coordination
On-site presentation support and live troubleshooting

Client feedback
Professional sports clients called out how polished and distinctive the branding was, especially for an event. They were impressed by the level of quality they're used to seeing in consumer-facing sports experiences.
Internally, we appreciated the calm, organized leadership that kept everything on track and visually aligned.
